A sourcing desk, not a warehouse of mystery drums
China Chemicals buys industrial, laboratory and specialty chemicals directly from the plants that make them, and sells them on a published specification with the paperwork that lets your QA team accept the delivery.
The model
Direct from the manufacturer
Most chemical distribution runs through several hands. A trader buys from a plant, sells to a regional distributor, who sells to a reseller, who sells to you. Each hand adds margin, and each hand adds distance between you and the batch record.
We work the other way. We hold direct relationships with the producing plants, place orders against their production runs, and pass the batch documentation through unchanged. That is why our prices are published on the product page instead of hidden behind a form, and why the Certificate of Analysis you receive carries the manufacturer’s batch number rather than ours.
It also sets a limit on what we will sell. If we cannot get a plant to stand behind a specification, the product does not go in the catalogue.
Every one of our 96 catalogue lines shows a per-pack price in US dollars, exclusive of freight and duty. No quote required to see what something costs.
How an order runs
From enquiry to delivered consignment
Six steps, the same on a 5 kg trial as on a full container.
- Specification agreed
You tell us the product, grade and assay you need. If your process has a tighter limit than our standard grade, say so at this point — some lines are available at higher purity on a production run.
- Quantity and packing confirmed
Pack size changes the unit price and sometimes the manufacturer. We confirm which pack is being priced: drum, bag, jerrican, fibre drum or bulk bag.
- Price and lead time quoted
Catalogue lines are priced on the site. Bulk and export quantities are quoted with a lead time and an Incoterm — usually FOB or CIF to your named port.
- Order released
For dangerous goods and for a first order we ask for end-use details and business registration. This is a legal requirement on our side, not a formality.
- Documentation issued
Batch Certificate of Analysis, current Safety Data Sheet, packing list and commercial invoice. Dangerous goods ship with the correct UN number, packing group and class marking.
- Despatch and tracking
Stocked lines leave in two to five working days. Export consignments follow the vessel or flight schedule; you get the booking reference when it is confirmed.
Where we ship
Set up for export, not just local delivery
Chemicals move under rules that ordinary freight does not. Class 3 flammables, class 8 corrosives and class 5.1 oxidisers each carry their own packaging standard, marking requirement and carrier restriction. Getting one of them wrong does not delay a shipment — it stops it at the port.
We quote FOB and CIF, book through freight forwarders who handle dangerous goods routinely, and prepare the transport documents to match the classification on the Safety Data Sheet. If your destination has an import permit requirement for a product, we would rather find that out at quotation than at customs.
What we will and will not supply
Trade supply, within limits
We supply businesses, laboratories, universities and government bodies. We are not a consumer retailer, and several of the products in our catalogue are controlled or restricted in one market or another.
Business buyers only
Orders are released to registered businesses and institutions. For a first order we may ask for registration details and the intended end use.
No pharmaceutical actives
Our catalogue deliberately excludes prescription-controlled active pharmaceutical ingredients. We do supply food-grade and pharmacopoeial-grade excipients and additives.
Regulated lines declined
We do not supply precursors or controlled substances outside a licensed supply chain, regardless of the stated purpose. Some enquiries are declined on this basis.
Import permits, local registration and end-use licensing in your country remain your responsibility. We will tell you the UN number, hazard class and packing group so you can check before you order.
